The Indianapolis Colts have one of the NFL’s best starting quarterbacks, but as FOXSports.com sees it, the depth at the position is a bit suspect.
Suspect enough to rank the Colts’ quarterbacks No. 8 in the NFL as a whole.
FOXSports.com is running its annual Positional Power Rankings. The leadoff story was on quarterbacks, with the Colts ranking behind teams such as the New Orleans Saints and Arizona Cardinals.
Here’s Fox’s comment on the Colts:
The Colts should move to L.A., as they’d be the perfect dweller in such a major city built on a series of earthquake-prone faults. Hey, they’ve got Peyton Manning, so they should have one of football’s top two QB groups, right? Well heaven forbid, what will happen to the team if Manning ever DOES get injured? With all due apologies, Jim Sorgi, Curtis Painter and Chris Crane (who???) would not cause any defensive coordinators one less wink at night. Maybe the gambling Colts should move to Las Vegas instead.
I don’t know that I disagree with the ranking so much as I don’t quite get the comment. Anyway, that’s the post.

I make fun of Sorgi as much as the next guy, but I thought he looked decent last year in the final game. They pretty much trounced the Titans. I am not sure he is horrible enough to bring down the best QB to #8.
Proof positive of East Coast bias… they put the Patriots ahead of the Colts… again. Oh I’m sorry, I didn’t realize that any of Brady’s backups had ANY experience on an NFL field, let alone as much as Sorgi has had. What a crock.
