Hello all . . .
John Oehser here, Indy Football Report Editor . . .
First, let me say I appreciate all of the feedback/positive response on Indy Football Report in the first — well, it’s been nearly six months, hard as that is to believe. Like the Colts, I’m using training camp to try to get into a rhythm on the website and trying to experiment with different ways to get the best information to everyone as quickly as efficiently as possible. So, bear with me. IFR will keep improving — that’s the hope, anyway.
I want to try something and hope a few — or many — of you will help. For the season, I would like to institute “chats” — perhaps once a week, perhaps not. I don’t have chat software on IFR so what I’d like to try is to set up a page on Examiner and “chat” through the comments section there. The way it will work is I’ll start a story on my Examiner page and when the chat begins, I’ll indicate as such by posting a comment below the story. Commenting is pretty easy there, and you can post a comment and I’ll reply immediately.
I’m going to set it up for 8:30 p.m. Eastern, Thursday, August 13. If you’re interested, post a comment on IFR so I’ll have idea how many people might get involved. (But even if you don’t comment, I’ll be there at 8:30 p.m. Eastern and everyone’s welcome). I’ll provide the Examiner link in the main story on IFR well before the chat begins, so you won’t have to go searching for it.
Let’s give this a go and see if it works. We’ll plan on doing it for an hour, and keep going a bit after that if there’s interest.
Any questions regarding how this will work, post a comment this afternoon and I’ll try to get it answered.

Cool. I love Phil B’s weekly chats during the season. Fans being able to get a direct line into a person with access is very cool.
I remember pestering Phil B about Lilja’s status for weeks in the chats last year, until he finally was able to get something (there had been absolutely nothing out there on Lilja’s chances/timetable to come back from the PUP).
Oh, great, yet another sinkhole for this addicted fan to dump free time into!
You and Phil B. Wilson, you’ve both turned into the internet equivalent of crack dealers for Colts fans, you realize that??
I would be interested in trying this out.
So…Hall is gone. My condolences to the website member who has always been so adamant about Hall’s potential as a player.
