    I’m puzzled, but that’s nothing new following the Colts.

    I imagine there is more to the story. Why cut him? Clearly he was performing better than those he was in front of? If not, why not relegate him to the role of a backup? Doesn’t make sense.

    It is puzzling, and it’s certainly puzzing that he would start for four games, then be gone before the bye. But throughout the locker room and throughout Jim Caldwell’s press conference, you got the idea that the only reason given to anyone was that Johnson was not performing. A strange sudden end to what has been sort of a sad story from the start.
