The Indianapolis Colts have been rumored as a possible trade destination for Cleveland Browns WR/KR Joshua Cribbs, Edgar Thompson of the Palm Beach Post is reporting.
Cribbs, a Pro Bowl kick returner, is unhappy with his contract and Thompson reports that an “NFL source with knowledge of the situation said Cribbs has asked to be traded.” Thompson is reporting that Kansas City and Oakland have inquired about Cribbs, with Miami and Indianapolis also possibilities.
“Cribbs, who has three years remaining on a six-year, $6.7 million contract he signed in 2006, might be the NFL’s top return man,” Thompson writes.
Cribbs, who is averaging 16.3 yards on 16 punt returns with a 67-yard touchdown this season, also averages 26.3 yards on kickoffs this season. He led the league with an average of 30.7 yard-per-kickoff return in 2007. He has five touchdowns on kickoff returns in five seasons, and he has seven total touchdowns on returns.

It’s not gonna happen but I would love it if it did. Rushing does nothing but run into brick walls.
yeah, this would be awesome – we have SUCKED at returning kicks the past few years, though i feel it’s less a problem with the KR and more a problem with the return coverage. can’t hurt though… wonder what we’d have to give up….
