Indianapolis Colts CB Marlin Jackson did not participate in practice Wednesday, according to the team’s injury report.
Jackson, who has missed the last three games with a knee injury, has a chance to return and play against the Houston Texans Sunday, Head Coach Jim Caldwell said earlier in the week. Caldwell said Wednesday morning he thought Jackson could practice Wednesday.
The Colts’ injury report Wednesday:
Did not participate – DE Dwight Freeney (not injury related-rested), WR Anthony Gonzalez (knee), CB Kelvin Hayden (knee), Jackson (knee), S Bob Sanders (elbow) and K Adam Vinatieri (right knee).
There was no early word on the extent of Sanders’ elbow injury, while Vinatieri is expected to remain out for the next several weeks. Caldwell said earlier Wednesday the status of Gonzalez is uncertain.
Hayden, Caldwell said, likely will be a day-to-day situation this week.
RB Donald Brown, after missing last week’s game with a shoulder injury, practiced on Wednesday and was not listed on the injury report.
