Indianapolis Colts CB Marlin Jackson will miss the remainder of the season.
Jackson, for the second time in as many seasons, has sustained a season-ending anterior cruciate ligament injury during a midseason practice, the Indianapolis Star and ESPN are reporting.
Jackson confirmed to the Star Thursday afternoon that he had sustained a torn left AFC in practice Wednesday.
A first-round selection in the 2005 NFL Draft, Jackson missed the last half of last season with torn ligaments in his right knee sustained during a late October practice. He returned this season and had played as the Colts’ nickel corner until missing the last three games with a left knee injury.
The Colts’ injury report Thursday:
Did not practice – WR Anthony Gonzalez (knee), CB Kelvin Hayden (knee), Jackson (knee), DE Robert Mathis (not injury related-rested), S Bob Sanders (elbow), S Jamie Silva (hip), WR Reggie Wayne (not injury related-rested), K Adam Vinatieri (right knee).
