Indianapolis Colts S Antoine Bethea said he’s playing Sunday. DE Dwight Freeney said he’s playing, too.
That means two of the Colts’ most reliable, productive defensive players will be playing when the unbeaten Colts (9-0 ) visit the Baltimore Ravens (5-4) at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Md., Sunday.
Bethea, whose streak of 25 consecutive regular-season starts is the longest on the Colts’ defense, missed practice Wednesday and Thursday with a foot injury, and Freeney — who has missed just nine games in eight NFL seasons, including seven in 2007 with a season-ending foot injury, sat out practice Thursday with a hip issue.
“I’ll be out there Sunday,” Bethea said Friday.
Of Freeney, Colts Head Coach Jim Caldwell said, “I expect him to come along and be able to do something for us this weekend if he doesn’t have any setbacks.”
DT Eric Foster, who missed practice Wednesday and Thursday with a back injury, said he expects to play while Caldwell said he’s less optimistic on the status of OL Dan Federkeil and TE Gijon Robinson. Each missed practice Wednesday and Thursday with concussions.
“The closer it gets to the weekend, it doesn’t look good,” Caldwell said.
If Bethea (foot) can’t play Sunday, second-year veteran Jamie Silva will start at the position while DT Fili Moala would get more time if Foster is limited or out.
The Colts’ injury report for Friday:
* Did not participate – OT Dan Federkeil (concussion, out), DB Aaron Francisco (ankle, out); WR Anthony Gonzalez (knee, out), CB Kelvin Hayden (knee, out), TE Gijon Robinson (concussion, questionable), QB Jim Sorgi (right shoulder, questionable), OT Tony Ugoh (not injury related-rested), K Adam Vinatieri (right knee, out).
* Limited participation – Bethea (foot, questionable).
* Full participation – WR Hank Baskett (illness, probable), WR Austin Collie (not injury related-personal), Foster (back, questionable), Freeney (hip, questionable), WR Pierre Garcon (ankle, questionable), LS Justin Snow (elbow, probable).
With Federkeil, out, either LT Tony Ugoh or RG Mike Pollak could be activated. Ugoh worked at both guard and tackle during camp, while Pollak has played mostly on the interior. With S Aaron Francisco out, the Colts are down one of their better special teams players. He has 10 special teams tackles this season.

Ugoh rested? After being a healthy scratch in the last game? One wonders what the import of this is. If they’re keeping him out of practice, what does that say about their confidence in him?
Either that, or he has an undisclosed minor injury. But they’d have to report that, wouldn’t they?
I think you mean the UNbeaten Colts…
