The Indianapolis Colts have waived RB Mike Hart, according to ColtsPower.com.

Hart, a sixth-round selection in the 2008 NFL Draft, sustained a season-ending knee injury early that season and was placed on injured reserve. He returned this season and after being released in the preseason, was signed to the practice squad.

He had been on the active roster since early October.

Hart’s release leaves three backs on the active roster: starter Joseph Addai, 2009 first-round selection Donald Brown and Chad Simpson, also the team’s kickoff returner.
