Indianapolis Colts DE Dwight Freeney said he’s not completely certain of his status for Sunday.

CB Kelvin Hayden is a lot more certain he’ll play when the Colts attempt to tie the NFL record for consecutive regular-season victories, but the fifth-year veteran just doesn’t know to what extent.

Freeney, a four-time Pro Bowl selection who missed last week’s game with an abdomen injury, said on Friday he feels better than he did last week, but said he expects to be a game-time decision Sunday, with Hayden — after practicing every day this week — saying he will play, but that he doesn’t yet know if he will start.

“I’m feeling good,” Freeney said Friday as the Colts (11-0)  prepared to play the Tennessee Titans (5-6) at Lucas Oil Stadium Sunday at 1 p.m. “It’s better than last week this time. I’m always optimistic. I don’t want to be stupid, but If I’m good enough, I’ll go. I’ve got 48 hours.”

While Freeney practiced the final two days of the week, Hayden practiced all week. Coach Jim Caldwell said Friday morning he anticipated Hayden would start if he played, but through a team spokesman he later said Hayden’s starting situation wasn’t yet certain.

Caldwell and Hayden each said Hayden came through the week in good shape.

“It is what it is,” Hayden said. “I’m excited. Don’t know much, but I’ll be out there.”

Colts LT Charlie Johnson said as of Friday afternoon his status for Sunday’s game remains uncertain. He missed practice this week with a foot injury, but played last week after missing two practices with the same injury.
